Police Detective Steve Murtaugh (Patrick Duffy) and his wife (Chelsea Field) move to Portland, Ore. , after Alex Brandt (William Devane), a criminal mastermind, blackmails Murtaugh for having an affair. Brandt follows Murtaugh to Portland, where he commits serial murders.
