Neapolitan Carousel

Antonio Petito (Leonide Massine) is the head of a family of street musicians. As the traveling troupe performs in Naples, Italy, the film takes the audience on a journey through the culture and history of Italy. The group acts out a musical rendition of the Moorish conquest of southern Italy and meets up with other street performers, including cabaret singer Sisina (Sophia Loren), who suffered the tragic loss of her boyfriend.
