The Company , under the direction of British inventor Sir James Dyson , said had developed his engineers, a "fantastic Electric Car ", But it would not be on the streets, because it is not "commercial".

In an email to all staff, Sir James said The Company had tried unsuccessfully to find a buyer for The Project .

The Division employs 500 British workers.

Dyson had planned to invest More Than £2 billion in the development of a "radical and other" electric vehicles, a project was launched in the year 2016. He said The Car would not be aimed at the mass market.

half of the funds go in the direction of the building, The Car , half in the direction of the development of electric batteries.

Dyson wanted something revolutionary - But also needed to pay for it. And the sums just do not above.

sales of electric cars is increasing rapidly. But they still cost More Than conventional cars and produce much less profit, if at all.

Major manufacturers such as VW can afford to plough tens of billions in the EV Industry -on the basis that economies of scale will eventually generate the technology is cheaper and yields.

the upstart Tesla, widely credited with the show all others, how could this be good for electric cars, has burned through mountains of cash and had to cap in hand to investors.

Dyson has closed to play, it simply can't afford it with the Big Boys - even though his efforts to achieve a Quantum Leap in battery technology will continue.

The Company is also planning to invest £200m in the UK in research and development and test track facilities. Much of this money has already been spent and the Dyson said it would use The Site for other projects.

the rest of the funds, the the said for the Electric Car project would be spent on the development of other products, including its battery technology, Dyson.

The Assistant Managing Director of the Singapore Economic Development Board Tan Kong Hwee said the country would still play a major role in Dyson's growth plans.

"such As Dyson's decision not to prosecute, the electric-vehicle business has been included in an early stage of the disruption to your operation and workforce in Singapore will be minimal," he said.

The First cars already and tested were developed.

But in an E-Mail on Thursday, Sir James Dyson was the closing of the electric vehicle facilities in the UK and Singapore.

The Project employs 523 people, 500 of them were in England, and Sir James praised their "enormous" achievements.

"This is not a failure or an error of The Team , for whom this message will be hard to hear and digest," wrote Sir James.

But said: "We have tried very hard, during the entire development process, we just can't see a way to make it economical.

"The Dyson automotive team has been a fantastic car, you were awesome in their approach, while remaining faithful to our philosophies. "

The Company said it was looking for alternative roles for the employees in its home Department, which makes things such as vacuum cleaners, fans and Hairdryers.

Sir James said Dyson would continue to work on The Battery technology used in The Car .

"use Our battery Dyson in a very profound way, and take us in exciting New Directions . "
