About Nova Friburgo
Nova Friburgo is a city in the Serra do Mar mountains of southeastern Brazil. It's known for 19th-century European-style buildings like Anchieta College, founded by Jesuit priests in 1886. On Praça do Suspiro square is the restored, circa-1884 Chapel of Santo Antônio. The Teleférico (cable car) climbs up the Morro da Cruz hill, with views across the city. South, Juarez Frotté Municipal Park has trails and waterfalls.
