My money: "I paid just 70p for my dinner"
My money is to look for a new series on how people spend their money - and the sometimes difficult decisions you will make. Here, Eliza hunt, from Bristol, signed up to his spending More Than a week, and share tips to save money with many cheap and healthy recipe suggestions.
We are in search of more people to what you spend your money. If you are interested, please E-Mail or get In Touch via our and we will contact the target to you.
Eliza is 24 and is a chemistry PhD student at the University of Bristol, and for this she gets a tax-Paid -free stipend of £15,000 Per year. Also makes you a couple of hours a week teaching during term-time, and the pay for that varies from month to month, but averages about £2,000 in within the year, she's trying to be in a savings account.
you will pay £580 a month in rent and bills, and so left with around £600 to pay for food, travel, clothes and everything else. Welcome to The Diary of the what you Spent [and eaten] in a week. About Eliza.
Eliza s week: home-made sloe gin for Christmas gifts and a very expensive pumpkinToday I woke up at 7. 30 to get ready for work and ate a Breakfast of porridge made with hazelnut milk, and topped with banana, raspberries and a pinch of chia seeds (classic millennial). Porridge with banana and what dairy-free milk is a staple Breakfast for me and costs about 40p Per portion (not including the raspberries, or chia seeds). While I Breakfast , My Friend , Ben, made us both a cheese-and-Tomato Sandwich to work for us, along with an Apple and raisins for lunch (lunch about £1 costs). A Packed lunch is a great way to save money, although I have zero self-control and usually eat my sandwich at about 10. 30.
I went to Wilko's to buy lunch to make Kilner jars, sloe gin, in (Ben a lot of sloes picked up at the weekend), and I also bought a shower gel. This came to £12. 50, and I hope the sloe gin and am a good Christmas gift for family and friends.
Someone at work brought in stroopwafels for all of your weekend in Amsterdam. The afternoon I Spent snacking on these, so needed a healthy meal for dinner. I left work at 5 and went to Sainsbury in the vicinity of My House to do an attempt a weekly shop. Due to a lack of refrigerator space and no car, I tend to be a couple of trips to the shops every week.
Today I have Spent £33. 22, that should hold me for a couple of Days , £16, this was reduced to a litre of gin for the sloe gin (which was £20). I came home and made a red-lentils-dal and a sweet potato-spinach curry for dinner (this is a really cheap meal, about £1 Per serving), Spent the evening with TV, sloe gin and help My Friend choose paint colors for the apartment you just bought.
Today I also have tickets for a Halloween-live-theatre event at the SS Great Britain called the Ghostly ship, the excited I really am for. This costs £10 for a student ticket.

the Breakfast today was toast with butter and marmite, as I had to waste some bread that needed to be used, not the tastiest, but I'm trying to cut down my food. I grabbed some of the leftover curry from Last Night and satsumas and an Apple for lunch. I managed to wait until 12 to eat, the curry morning really appeal to me!
We have a bake-off competition at work, everyone who wanted to participate was assigned a competitor and your competitor is kicked out, bake for The Group . Today, someone had baked an Apple pie for us, and I had a few slices of this to get me through the afternoon. Healthy eating is not easy when you work in my office.
For dinner, I had leftover curry (again!!! ), and I quickly made a couple of pita breads with him. These are very easy to make from yogurt, flour and Baking Powder . It is quite normal for me to eat the same food a few times a week; I find it cheaper and to cook simple meals in the mass, but there is not to store a freezer in my apartment, The Extra portions, so I have to eat them within a couple of Days .
expenditure: £0
This morning I went on a run. I don't have to pay for a gym membership, so my exercise is to run and do HIIT workouts and yoga at home following videos on YouTube. My favorite YouTube channels are read, Lucy Wyndham-(for quick workouts) and Yoga With Adriene. I enjoy all the more as in The Gym and it's all free!
For Breakfast I had banana porridge with Oat Milk . At work, I received a cheque for £50 from the University for a post-award I won a few months ago, and I Paid this into my account via online banking app. I had a meeting around lunch time, the sandwiches, so no need to take a Packed lunch. For dinner, I went to Ben's house and he cooked a Cuban Ropa Vieja , and flan for dessert. In your house, you every Wednesday and I usually cook together day for those who, cooks when he can. He asked me to buy me a couple of limes to be on My Way , the Cost 70p, but I did not pay anything in the direction of the food.
I'm moving into a new house in a couple of weeks and have been trying to find a good broadband deal for the new space. I have found, if you fill in your details on The Internet vendor sites, but not all the way to the purchase, you often receive E-Mail, with even better deals.

money won from a poster competition: £50
Today, Breakfast of the usual porridge was, and for lunch I grabbed The Last part of Monday's curry, glad to have finally done that! I was teaching all afternoon and was feeling pretty hungry when I got back To My office at 5, some of the marking. My colleague had an open bag of coriander and lime Poppadom sensations, which are my absolute favorite Chips. He offered me a few and before I knew it, I had eaten pretty much the whole pack. To buy I'm going to have to get him a new bag of them in the next week! Lack of self-control with Chips runs in My Family on my father's side.
After the completion of the work, I went home, via the Co-op and bought a few things I needed for dinner, and ingredients to take chorizo and cheese scones in the work on Friday. I Spent £13. 60. For dinner I made a salad with quinoa, tomatoes, cucumber, feta, mint and parsley. I added a splash of lemon juice and plenty of Black Pepper and served this with some hummus (this costs £1. 50 Per serving).
After the meal, I baked the scones, which have become quite good and taste great with butter (of course I had to test it before working on it). The Recipe for this was.

the Usual porridge for Breakfast again. I took my rolls in the work for our group potluck, and 12. 30 everyone in our group crammed into our office, armed with many different types of food, including a delicious curry, guacamole, falafel, and a Spanish lentil dish (plus many more things). There was also a good selection of sweet dishes, a highlight is the raspberry and lemon Battenberg was.
A potluck is a cheap way trying food from different cultures, and they will only Cost what you spend on the ingredients of the food you bring.
I avoided the pub after work, I felt Run Down with a cold This Week and thought, alcohol would not help (I'm definitely getting old).
Although I have not go the money saved in the pub, I did some Online Shopping , when I came home, and Spent £24. 29 on prints for the new apartment of Desenio. I had some of them eyeing for a while and it was a deal with 30% discount, so I saved £10. 41 and got free delivery. For dinner I cooked pasta alla Norma for a recipe Rick Stein recommended by My Friend , he had a lot of feta is always delicious (this costs £1. 30 Per serving).
expenditure: £24. 29
Today I 9 to to. 30 (lie-in ruined by Ben Wake up to watch the rugby) and my apartment cleaned up, then went on a run. Bristol has many good spots, my favorite is the Downs, which was looking very pretty and autumn is.
When I came home, I have a YouTube post run stretching/yoga video, I am training for a half marathon and wants to help no injuries and yoga really seems to.
For lunch I had a mixture of radicals: Thursday quinoa salad and hummus and some eggplant left from yesterday's pasta - minimizing the waste of food.
