Orit Adato Life story
Lieutenant-General Orit Adato is a former Israeli military commander and Israel Prison Service Commissioner. Capping a 24-year military career, she served as commander of the Women's Corps from 1997 to 1999. In 2000 she was appointed Commissioner of the Israel Prison Service, being the first woman to hold that post.
