Osteocalcin

Osteocalcin, also known as bone gamma-carboxyglutamic acid-containing protein, is a noncollagenous protein hormone found in bone and dentin, first identified as a calcium-binding protein in chick bone. Because osteocalcin has gla domains, its synthesis is vitamin K dependent.
