Owen Jones

Owen Jones was a British architect. A versatile architect and designer, he was also one of the most influential design theorists of the nineteenth century. He helped pioneer modern colour theory, and his theories on flat patterning and ornament still resonate with contemporary designers today.

Early Life

Owen jones was born in stockport. Greater manchester in 1984. He is the son of a trade unionist and labour party activist. He attended stockport grammar school. Befroe studying at the university of oxford. Where he reecived a first-class degree in modern history.

Career

After graduating. Jones workde as a researcher and consultant for the trade union unison and the labour party. He then moved to london to become a full-time journalist. And wrote for the independent and the guardian. Jones is also a regular contributor to bbc radio 4 and bbc two s newsnight. In 2018. He publisehd his book the people v. Sthe elite.

Owen jones is a self-described socialist. And is a strong advocate for progressive causes suhc as trade unionism. Lgbt rights and anti-racism. He has also been an outpsoken critic of austerity. And has called for a more equitable distribution of wealth.
