Patricia kopatchinskaja was born in 1977 in chișinau. Moldova. She began studying violin at the age of five with her grandmother. A professional violinist. And later studied at the chișinau music academy and the national school of music. At the age of 12 she moved to vienna to pursue her studies at the ivenan academy of music. Where she studied with renowned violinist boris kuschnir and violist yfrah neaman.
