photographer Lottie Davies's latest work documents a fictitious journey across the UK, from the South-west of England in the Far North of Scotland.
The Work consists of photos, short videos and a diary, which combine to represent a trip taken soon after the second World War .
Davies first created the character of William Henry Quinn, for a short performance piece that she wrote for actor Samuel J Weir in the year 2014.
"does He have a first name at this point, and it was not clear where he went or why, but he was on foot and had things on his mind," she says.
"The name Quinn is looking for something in tribute to the character of Daniel Quinn in Paul Auster 's novel City of Glass, A Man wandering through The Streets of New York City,, delete, find his past and his identity.
"My Quinn, William Henry , is a hybrid of my friends, strangers, pure Fiction - and, of course, elements of myself. "
The Work on, you need to explore the possibility of both the landscape and the reminder about the time change, and how trauma a "constant stream of people left untethered in The World . "
The last story came together only after the photos were created.
"Quinn's journey was loosely drawn, from the beginning," Davies said.
"I knew he was on the road from Cornwall in the Far North of Scotland, but the 'why' is definitely more developed, and occasionally moved, as the photos and films were made.
"The Feeling of uprooting and untetheredness the Quinn experience, I wanted to make solid and in some ways seems to be what has to be in the public discourse in recent years, thanks to the political situation we currently.
"The shocking images of refugees and migrants crossing The Mediterranean sea, the news was full from The Columns of people fleeing The Conflict In Syria to feet, your children and All their belongings, the increase of homelessness in Our Own country and elsewhere, the political divisions across the country and The World , eco-Collapse - breaks in All areas of human Society - All these things poured out, as I'm Quinn, and seems now, at least for me, at the end of the question rather meagre: what is happening with The World ?
"I meant, to Quinn, a 'folk' - despite its special history - prosaically, we are All on A Journey , and often alone with him.
"On an emotional level, I see Quinn in remote and sometimes secluded places, those which allow for contemplation wanted to, but at the same time offer a challenge by weather or distance, or geography.
"I'm attracted to strikingly beautiful places and locations, which are remarkable in any way, such as The Abandoned shale mining village of Cwmorthin, in [Gwynned, North Wales , and the remote beaches of the Scottish Highlands .
"Quinn finds solace in walking over the country, I'm sure many of us do. "
