Paul Cuffee Life story
Paul Cuffee or Paul Cuffe was an American Quaker businessman, sea captain, and abolitionist. His mother was Aquinnah Wampanoag and his father Ashanti, captured as a child and sold into slavery. In the mid-1740s he was freed by his Quaker master in Massachusetts.
