About Payaswini
Payaswini in also known by the name Chandragiri, is the largest river in Kasaragod district, state of Kerala, India. It was named after the great Mauryan king Chandragupta Maurya. It is believed that he visited the river on his way to Shravanabelagola. The 17th century Chandragiri fort is on the river.
