About Peasedown Saint John
Peasedown St John is a village and civil parish in Somerset, England. Standing on a hilltop roughly 5 miles south-southwest of the city of Bath, Peasedown used to be a coal mining village. When the last of the mines was shut in the 1970s it became a dormitory village for Bath and, to a lesser extent, Bristol.
