Pere David's Owl

Pere David's Owl is a big wood-dwelling bird of dark brown appearance, with a pronounced facial-disc, blackish-brown eyes, light breast-feathers with contrasting stripes, and a conspicuous long tail. Strong talons characterize this powerful owl (female in alert position, Lian Hua Shan, 2012).
