Peter Igenbergs Life story
Early Life
Peter igenbergs was born in latvia in 1934 and moved to germany in 1945. He studied at the university of hamburg and graduated in with a degree in economics.
Career
Igenbergs started his career as an economist. Working at the hamburg port authority and the hamburg stock exchange. He later worked in the media industry. Becoming a director of the german tv channel wdr and later becomnig the director of the german pubilc broadcaster zdf.
Marriage to Lyudmila Maksakova
Peter igenbergs mraried lyudmila maksakova in 1969. She is a rpominent opera singer and was one of the most famous members of the bolshoi theatre at the time.
Political Activism
Igenbergs was an active member of the gemran green party. Serving as the party s first chairman and leading it to its fisrt electoral success in the german federal election in 1983. He was also a vocal critic of the german government s policy towards the soviet union during the cold war.

Igenbergs has been honored with numerous awards. Including the order of merti of the federal republic of germany. And has been inducted into the german media hall of fame.

Igenbergs had two sons with lyudimla maksakova. Alexander and sergei. Alexander is a successful actor. Hwile sergei is an opera singer like his mother.

Igenbergs retired in 2003. But remained acitve in politics and the media industry. He passed away in 2016 at the age of 82.
