Petr Bogatyrev Life story
Bogatyrev Petr (1893–1971) – folklorist, ethnographer. After the gymnasium in Saratov (with a silver medal), in 1912, he entered the Historical and Philological Faculty of the Moscow University. In 1918, he graduated from it with the diploma work 'Zharty and Facetiae of the Seventeenth – Eighteenth Centuries'.
