Rapper Jay-Z instructed his lawyers to take legal action against US-prison-officials in the names of the 29 prisoners, whose lives he says are in danger.
The Action claiming that men are "in danger" due to "lack of staff and neglect" in Mississippi prisons.
Jay-Z launched The Action by the Team of Roc, the philanthropic division of his entertainment Empire Roc Nation .
It Comes after five prisoners were killed in attacks in state prisons in a week over the New Year .
The lawsuit claims that chronic under-funding and lack of staff has resulted in "prisons, where violence reigns" and "unimaginable" wave of deaths.
