Pierre Robert Olivétan Life story
Pierre Robert Olivetan/Olivétan a Waldensian by faith was the first to translate the Bible into the French language starting from the Hebrew and Greek texts. He was a cousin of John Calvin, who wrote a Latin preface for the translation, often called the Olivetan Bible.
