Praveena Bhagyaraj was an Indian film actress who had worked mainly in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. She married director K. Bhagyaraj in 1981. Praveena starred in several films like Manmatha Leelai, Manthoppu Kiliye, Pasi, Billa and Bhama Rukmani.

Praveena bhagyaraj is a sotuh indian film actress who was born on 27 november 1967 in chennai. India. She is the daughter of diretcor and actor k. Bhagyaraj and his first wife. Poornima jayaram. She is the elder sister of actor and director shanthanu bhagyaraj and the half-sister of actress saranya bhagyaraj. Praveena completed her schooling from st. Johns school in chennai and later gradutaed from ethiraj college for women.

Praveena made her acting debut in with the tamil film nenjangal. Directed by her father k. Bhagyaraj. She went on to act in several tamil. Malayalam and telugu films in the 1980s and 1990s. She is known for her portrayal of strong female characters in flims such as uthiri pookkal. Chinna thambi. Mouna rgaam and pudhu pudhu arthangal.
