Prokineticin

Prokineticin is a secreted protein that potently contracts gastrointestinal smooth muscle. Recently, prokineticins have been recognized in humans and other vertebrates. They are thought to be involved in several important physiological processes like neurogenesis, tissue development, angiogenesis, and nociception.
