About Puducherry
Puducherry, also known by the rendering Pondicherry, is a union territory in India. It was formed out of four territories of former French India, namely Pondichéry, Karikal, Mahé and Yanaon, excluding Chandernagore. It is named after the largest district, Puducherry.
