My money is a series on how people spend their money - and the sometimes difficult decisions that You have. Here Alyssa Hulme of Heber City , Utah, USA, takes us through a week in her life during the Corona-Virus-pandemic.
Alyssa, 31, is a freelance writer and educational consultant. She and Her Husband Randy have four children: Ellie, eight -, Max -, seven -, Amethyst -, four -, and Josie,. It was begun homeschooling your children for a year, months before the pandemic.
she says, your week, banal began, but in The End , awesome! She had no idea, on Monday, where she would be until Sunday.
About Alyssa.
I started The Day nursing my one year old went to her father for Breakfast and sat for a solid 45 minutes of private time, before spending the rest of The Day , homeschooling three children and caring for a baby. After the prayer, the meditation and the setting of my To-Dos for The Day , I bought a course of the 30-day money-cure with Carol Tuttle for $297 (£242). The Course is on obtaining financial prosperity by clearing out limiting belief systems that do not serve me and replace them with healthy practices. I was very much Looking Forward to this course for months and You have money set aside for this purpose.
After that, I went on to start My Day with My Family and put each of your initial tasks of the piano, to run the household, and math. We taught the children at home for about a year now, so it's been a pretty typical day. But in the lunch break, instead of the transition to a play date, my husband, our oldest has a one-on-one time to help You replenish The Loss of activities and excursions that come with Covid-19 lock have.
We have to isolate since The End of February and The Loss of friends is wearing on all of us. During our lunch, rest-time, I taught two online voice training lessons practical for the students living in the city. In General, You would come To My house, but We Are all isolate. After that, we settled into our evening routine: I have dinner, we ate together And Then held our weekly "family Night " - an evening of talent shows, games, treats and fun.
expenditure: $297 (£242)
I continued with The Money , of course. I Am a Homeschooling consulting business and really want to set yourself on the correct and sane track for the sake of my business. The Course has helped me to identify several limiting beliefs I may clarify, to make room for more growth. Then, as each day of the week for months we have been Homeschooling, lunch, and quiet Time In the afternoon.
During the quiet Time I had to evaluate a virtual occupational therapy appointment for my one year old to You for a possible gross motor delays. This is free through our state. Next, I had a virtual appointment with my therapist. These cost $110 for insurance, and withdrawn from my health account, a Savings account, we pay monthly through my husband's pay check and is tax-free. Therapy always really it takes out of me and today I still work reinforced by some new business themes, so my husband picked up dinner from a Chinese fast food restaurant for $40. It ended up being a lot of food and takes a good two and a half meals for the six of us.
I took the evening to find out more about my company and my work on my personal goals. Normally, I would go out With Friends or go to The Gym , but everything is closed, so I get to save more money and get to know My Bed a little better.
expenditure: $150 (£122)
Our Big excursion today is a Tour into The Canyon in the vicinity of our house. We Spent two hours Hiking in The Woods , building fairy houses and crossing streams.
Later in the evening, I started plans for The Next year of Homeschooling, and bought some note books and stationery by the target. com. I find Online Shopping , especially for something as personal as a notebook. As a writer, the size, the weight and binding of a notebook is really important for me, so buying from an Online Shop , it is very confusing.
I also bought a Summer Dress by the opponent. com, I can can just wear a nurse and hope to and about one day here soon, when the quarantine is lifted. Our district starting in a low-risk status, so that hopefully my husband and I have our weekly date Nights soon.
Total spend: $110. 52 (£90)
Late Last Night , my husband discovered that he was not returning to work in his office until The End of 2020. We discussed the purchase of a mobile home, in your life for The Next six months, the rental of our house and work and do Homeschooling on The Road . This Was A Dream of ours for 10 Years , but it never worked out with our career. The Time is now.
Today we have decided to rent a RV (Recreational Vehicle ) - $1,160 for four Nights , and start testing different configurations and living rooms. We decided to head for Yellowstone National Park . Two of The Four entrances are now open! I found the page a RV and began to pack.
I would normally have gone grocery shopping Last Night , but our journey stopped plans. As a result, we were out of food today, so I grabbed lunch from a local business for $33. 50-and dinner at a restaurant for $45. This is not a normal thing for us to be a lot of Pick Up and drop money on travel, but we have now been in isolation since The End of February, and We Are all so ready for a new experience.
This money comes from the garden plot my husband and I had set aside to celebrate our 10-year anniversary tomorrow, but all of our child-free-for-the-first-time-in-five-years, the international travel plans have been squashed by The Virus . This will replace an interesting.
We parked the motorhome on our way to Yellowstone at a Walmart. Everyone may have to Park overnight for free, so it is a large fuse in the back of the head, if You are on The Go .
Total spend: $1,238. 50 (£1,005)
Like a 10-year-anniversary for my husband and me! We celebrate The Day by first getting food from Walmart and start The Trek in Yellowstone. I bought food for the week, for $233. Not bad for A Family of six with limited fridge and storage space. We stopped to fill the RV with gas for $213. After several hours of travel, we arrived at the place I had reserved online yesterday for two Nights , a total of $180 including water and electricity plugins. It is a little high for an RV site, but it is the closest I could find to the entrance to The Park online, and we chose the value of Time In The Park on the cost for the campsite. (All of the sites within The Park are closed due to Covid-19. )
expenditure: $626 (£510)
My moneyfor More blogs from The Bbc -My-money-serial:
We woke up early and went to The Park today, but it was closed due to snow storm. The Road ended up getting 12 inches of snow in some places! Instead of exploring The Park , we explored The National Forest directly in front of the door.
expenditure: $0
We got up early again and were able to enter The Park ! We have to get our National Parks Pass, so no cost today. We did everything out in the open, The Grand Prismatic Spring, and Old Faithful was in The Park , the major attractions for us, the Upper and Lower Falls views.
We saw so many wild animals on this trip, far More Than my husband or I even saw how the children. We drove and hiked to elk, bison, deer, herons, and even several bears, including a baby and mama bear. We have this distance, The Animal world, conservation efforts in The Park , as well as the closure of The Park in The Last few months.
The Snow also allowed us to see all The Animal tracks in the entire park, who loved our children! Old Faithful had the largest amount, but still very small, even for This Time of year. We watched with a small, social distancing audience for the Big event, And Then out of the line. We were inclined to get take-out from The Lodge in the vicinity of Old Faithful , but decided to continue to eat the food we had already acquired knowledge of The Lodge and food prices are excellent.
We Packed and left The Park through The South entrance and drove through Grand Teton National Park , and I'll get gas in Jackson for $176. Wyoming has plenty of Open Land for free Parking, but with a new Vehicle and dark terrain, decided to stay over Night in a National Forest campground a half hour for $15 for The Night . We moved in about 23:00, paid by cash in a drop box, and enjoyed sleeping next to a river, under a blanket of stars.
expenditure: $191 (£156)
