About Red River Army Depot
The Red River Army Depot is an 15,375-acre facility located 18 miles west of Texarkana, Texas, in Bowie County. RRAD was activated in 1941 to create an ammunition storage facility. However, due to the demands of World War II, the mission was expanded to include general supply storage and tank repair.
