About Requiem For Billy The Kid
There is a long-running rumor that, contrary to popular legend, Billy the Kid was not shot in the back and killed by Sheriff Pat Garrett in 1881, but rather went on to live for many years. Seeking the truth, French documentary filmmaker Anne Feinsilber heads to New Mexico, where she interview locals, makes a running comparison between the gunslinger and the poet Arthur Rimbaud, and taps Kris Kristofferson to embody Billy's ghost in order to explain what really happened.
