Revius Ortique Jr. Life story
Revius Oliver Ortique Jr. was an American jurist, first Afro-American justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court, and civil rights activist. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, he graduated from Dillard University. In 1992, Revius Ortique was the first Afro-American elected to the Louisiana Supreme Court.
