Reynier De Klerck Life story
Reynier de Klerck was Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies from 1778 until 1780. De Klerk's date of birth is not known but he was baptised on 19 November 1710 in Middelburg. He worked as midshipman aboard the Kamer van Zeeland, a warship, whose duty was to protect the routes of homeward bound cargo ships.
