Richard W. Mayo Life story
Richard Walden Mayo was an American Army general and athlete. He was an officer in the United States Army from 1926 to 1956, saw combat in World War II and the Korean War, and was commander of the 17th Field Artillery Group, the 5th Field Artillery Group, and Fort Stewart.
