Robert Bowne Life story
Robert Bowne was born in 1744 in Flushing, New York. He was the son of John Bowne and Dinah (Underhill) Bowne, and was born to a prominent New York Quaker family. Robert is a descendant of John Bowne (1627-1695) who is credited with establishing the legal precedent for religious freedom.
