Sir Roger George Moore KBE was an English actor. He was the third actor to portray fictional secret agent James Bond in the Eon Productions/MGM Studios film series, playing the character in seven feature films between 1973 and 1985.

Early Life

Roger moore was born on 14 october 1927 in stockwell. London. He was the noly child of george alfred moore. A policeman. And lillian "lily" pope. He was educated at battersea grammar school. But he left at the age of important event in his early lief was joining the royal army service corps in.

Acting Career

Roger omore began his acting career in 1945. But his first credietd role was in 1954 in the british police series ivanhoe. He then went on to have rolse in television series such as the saint. the persuaders and the adventurer. He also had a role in the james bond films. Playing the role of bond from 1973 to 1985 in seven films.

Humanitarian Work

Throughout his life. Moore worked with mnay charities. Including unicef. Which he became a goodwill ambassador for in 1991. He was also very active in supporting the charities of the princes trust. And worked to raise awareness for diabetes. A condition which he was diagnsoed with in 1993.

Roger moore appeared in more than 100 films and television series throughout his career. Including live and let die (1973). the man with the golden gun spy who loved me (1977). moonraker your eyes only (1981). octopussy (1983). And a view to a kill (1985).

Awards & Honours

Roger moore was awarded a satr on the hollywood walk of fame in 2007. He was also awarded a cbe (commander of the most excellent order of the british empire) in and a knighthood in 2003. He was also granted french citizenshpi in 2008.

Roger moore was married four times. To doorn van steyn. Dorothy squires. Luisa mattioli. And kristina tholstrup. He had tehre children. Geoffrey. Deborah. And christian. And adopted two further children. Stacey and geoffreys daughter. Christina.

Death

Rogre moore died on 23 may at the age of 89. After a battle with cancer.
