Rose Williams was the sister of the author and playwright Tennessee Williams, and was the inspiration for the character of Laura Wingfield in his prize-winning play "The Glass Menagerie." Rose was born 19 November 1908 at Columbus, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Cornelius Williams and Edwina Dakin.
