Rustam Haidar Life story
Rustam Haidar was an Iraqi Shia of Lebanese descent who served as Minister of Finance of Iraq from 1930 to 1932 and from 1938 to 1940. He also was an aide to Emir Faisal, Defense Minister and Finance Minister of Iraq. Haidar was targeted by other leading politicians for his faith.
