Alexander George Thynne (later the 'e' from his surname) was born in London on may 6. In may 1932. His father, Viscount Weymouth, The Heir to the Marquessate of bath, while His Mother , the former Daphne Vivian was.
It was a somewhat dysfunctional family. His parents were repeatedly divorced unfaithful to each other, and later, while his relations with his siblings were strained.
He had grown up in A House on The Family estate at Longleat in Wiltshire, where he went to Eton And Then made his civil service in the guard, making a name for himself as a boxer.
While at Eton to the death of his grandfather saw the young Thynne. the 11th Viscount Weymouth, an event which he later described as "a great shame for the students"
After leaving the army, he traveled to Paris, where he studied Art On the Left Bank and acquired a taste for the kind of extravagant outfits that he can wear then more in his life.

He returned to Longleat, with the intention, as he later described, to a hermit and devotes himself to his painting. Working with a group of young artists, he began, adding wall murals to his apartments in The House , many of them of a distinctly smoky character.
