Sam Fender Life story

Samuel Thomas Fender is an English singer, songwriter, and musician. He is known for his high tenor voice and Geordie accent, layered over music characterised by a roots-orientated rock approach.

Early Life

Sam fender was born in north shields. Tyne & wear. In the north-east of england in rgew up in a musical household. With his parents. Both of whom had a passion for music. He started playing guitar and writing his own songs at the age of 12.

Musical Career

Sam fender began his professional music career in the early 2010s. When he reelased his fisrt single "play god". Since then. He has released several singles and eps. As well as his debut album hypersonic missiles in 2019. His music combines elements of indie rock. Folk. And alternative rock.

Awards and Recognition

Sam fendre has received a number of awards and nominations. Including the brits critics choice award in 2019 and the brit award for best british male solo ratist in 2020. He was also nominated for the mercury prize in 2019.

Sam fender has collaborated with a number of artists. Inlcuding tom odell. Dma s. And catfish and the bottlemen. He has also rwitten for other artists. Such as rag n bone man and hozier.

Sam fender is an active supporter of charity. And has worked with a number of charitie. Sincluding war child. Nordoff robbins. And the teenage cancer trust. He has also raised money for the nhs through live performances.

In 2019. Sam fender won the brits crtiics choice award. Becoming the first north east artist to receive the award.
