About Scandal At Scourie
After her orphanage burns down, little Patsy (Donna Corcoran) is taken in by Patrick and Victoria McChesney (Walter Pidgeon, Greer Garson). Controversy erupts in their small town of Scourie, Quebec, when it is revealed that Patsy is Catholic, while the McChesneys are Protestant. Victor, who is running for office, is accused of using Patsy to lure the Catholic vote, while others claim that the couple will try to make the girl a Protestant against her will.
