A 17-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to the murder of a lawyer with a screwdriver.
Peter Duncan , the Eldon Square shopping Centre on 14 August. was stabbed to death outside a Greggs in Newcastle City Centre
The Lawyer was "in the wrong place at the wrong time" when he was attacked, according to Northumbria Police .
The Boy , who cannot be named, appeared in Leeds Crown Court via a video link, and also confessed to stealing a screwdriver and carrying an offensive weapon. He will be sentenced in December.
A previous hearing was told the teenager had 17 convictions for 31 offences between 2017 and 2019

Officers searched the area outside of the shopping Center in The Hunt for the Murder Weapon ,Mr Duncan worked as a legal consultant in the Newcastle office of the Royal IHC Limited and previously as a lawyer and legal consultant at other companies in Darlington and Newcastle.
He had a training as an electrical engineer before graduating from Northumbria University with a degree in law in 2003.
In a statement released after his death, Mr. Duncan's family said he was "kind and caring man who always help first of others".
"His death leaves behind a huge hole in our lives and he will be sorely missed by all of us," they added.
