Sir Alexander Davison Life story
Alexander Davison was a merchant of Newcastle upon Tyne. In 1630 he acquired the Manor of Blakiston from Sir Thomas Blakiston. He was knighted at York 1 April 1639. Alexander was in arms at the Siege of Newcastle in 1644 and was killed when the Scots Stormed the town.
