Sir Edmund Ingaldesthorpe Life story
Biography. Sir Edmund Ingoldsthorpe ( Inglethorpe or Ingoldisthorpe) was born at Burrough Green, Cambs., about 1421, the 2nd son of Thomas Ingoldisthorpe, of Ingoldisthorpe and Raynham, Norfolk, and Margaret de la Pole. His wardship was granted to John Tiptoft, 1st Lord Tiptoft, husband of Joyce de Cherleton.
