Sir Harry Francis Colville Darell, 3rd Bt. Life story
Harry was born in 1814. He was the son of Harry Darell and Amelia Beecher. He entered the army of the 18th Foot in 1832 and became Captain in 1841. He served in the 18th Royal Irish in the Anglo-Chinese War (First Opium War) and participated in the Capture of Chusan. He received the China War Medal.
