Sir Robert Pringle Of Stichill, 1st Bt. Life story
Biography. Sir Robert Pringle of Stichell, county Roxburgh, is the fist son of and heir of John Pringle by Margaret Scott, illegitimate daughter of Walter Scott, 1st Earl of Buccleuch. Robert's father purchased the family estate in Stichell in 1628 and Robert succeeded his grandfather's titles in 1649.
