About Sophia Blackmore
Sophia Blackmore was an Australian missionary. She founded the Fairfield Methodist Schools, and also Methodist Girls' School in Singapore. She was the first woman missionary sent by the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society of the Methodist Episcopal Church to Singapore.
