Speleothem

Speleothems, commonly known as cave formations, are secondary mineral deposits formed in a cave. Speleothems typically form in limestone or dolomite solutional caves. The term "speleothem" as first introduced by Moore, is derived from the Greek words spēlaion "cave" + théma "deposit".
