About Spheciformes
The Spheciformes is a paraphyletic assemblage of insect families which collectively comprise the "sphecoid wasps". Larvae are carnivorous. These are all the members of the superfamily Apoidea, which are not bees and which in older classifications were called the "Sphecoidea".
