About State Of Amapá
Amapá is a state in northern Brazil bordered by Suriname, French Guiana and the Atlantic Ocean. The Amazon Rainforest covers a great portion of its area, and the Oyapock River forms part of its northern border. In the south, its capital city of Macapá is known for the seaside Fortaleza de São José de Macapá, an 18th-century Portuguese fort, and the Monumento do Marco Zero, an obelisk marking the equator.
