After finding a large oil bed underneath a lake, crooked engineer Del Roberts (Douglas Fowley) plots to take control of a fish hatchery run by Russell Masters (Lucien Littlefield), brother of Roberts' accomplice, Martin Masters (Robert Emmett Keane).
