About Swept Away
Imagine being shipwrecked on a beautiful island -- with someone you really can't stand. A young soldier (Adriano Giannini) is cast adrift on an island with his employer, a rich, self-centered woman who is used to having her own way. Cut off from society, he reverses their roles, stripping her of pride and vanity and controlling her completely. Until, that is, she falls in love with him.

Large areas of Tuscany have been hit by flooding, leaving three people dead and six others missing, as heavy winds and rain buffeted central Italy.
Cars were Swept Away and water levels were rising on The River Arno - due to burst its banks later on Friday.
Hospitals were flooded, people were trapped in their cars in underpasses and rescued from their homes with rubber dinghies.
