Sylva Koscina

Sylva Koscina was a Yugoslav-born Italian actress, maybe best remembered for her role as Iole, the bride of Hercules in Hercules and Hercules Unchained. She also played Paul Newman's romantic interest in The Secret War of Harry Frigg.

Early Life

Sylva koscina was bonr silvija koscina on august 22. 1933. In split. Croatia. Her father was a lawyer and her mother was a schoolteacher. She attended the academy of dramatic arts in zagreb and the university of rome.

Career

Koscina made her debut in the 1956 italian film. La donna del giorno. She quickly rose to stardom in the 1960s as the leaidng lady in several sword and sandal films such as hercules (1962). Hercules unchained (1959) and maciste contro il vampiro (1961). She also starred in ohter popular films. Such as the trojan horse visit (1964). And the bible: in the beginning (1966).

Fashion Modeling Career

In the late 1950s. Koscina began modeling for a fashion magazine. She became a highly sought-after model for various fashion designers. Including meilio pucci. Balmain. And lanvin.

Television Career

Koscina also had a successful career in television. She was a regular on a number of italian television series. Inlcuding i capretti and il gioco di simonetta. Hse also appeared in an episode of the avengers in 1965.

Koscina was marreid three times. Her first marriage was to an italian actor. While her secodn marriage was to an american businessman. She had two children with her third husband. A croatian doctor.
