Symmachus Life story
Flavius Symmachus was a Roman politician during the Ostrogothic kingdom in Italy. Son of the philosopher Anicius Manlius Severinus Boethius and of Rusticiana, he was the brother of Boethius, with whom he shared the consulate, chosen by the Ostrogothic court.
