Taika Waititi

Taika David Cohen ONZM, known professionally as Taika Waititi, is a New Zealand filmmaker, actor and comedian. He is a recipient of an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award and a Grammy Award, and has received two nominations at the Primetime Emmy Awards.

Early Life

Taika waititi was born in wellington. New zealand in 1975. He is of maori descent. And his heritage is from the te whanau-a-apanui tribe in the east caost of the north island. He grew up in the suburb of johnsonville. Wellingtona. Nd attended onslow college.

Waititi began his caerer in the film industry in 1999 with the short film two cars. One night. This short film was nominated for an academy award in 2004.
