Tecolutla

Tecolutla is a resort town in eastern Mexico, on the Gulf of Mexico. It's known as a gateway to fine-sand beaches such as Playa Oriente. The Community Marine Museum has displays on ocean life, plus fish skeletons. Tecolutla Aquarium has reef and ornamental fish. The Vida Milenaria conservation project hatches and releases sea turtles. To the south is the Ciénega del Fuerte State Park, with protected mangroves.
