When his wealthy parents are killed in a plane crash, teen Bobby Chalmers (Jimmy Clanton) is sent to live with his spinster aunt, Theodora (ZaSu Pitts), and her bodyguard, Rocky (Rocky Graziano). Sent to work at the family's radio station, Bobby falls for fellow employee Bambi (Diane Jergens). On a whim, Bobby records a demo of a song he's written under a pseudonym.
